In the golden cages, the whispering voices
In corner of the mind they sing, and slowly decay
Throughout the thoughtless days when life seem well
When one day a buzzer marked the end of the spell

Gears in motion to begin the stages
Shadows looming as the clock strikes twelve
Crawling and calling out through story book pages
Cawing and clawing at the flesh and bone cages

Sound the sirens and dissolve the illusions
Monsters roaming as the world turns hell
The true script’s finally revealed itself and
Now coming to life before her eyes the
Nightmare from FairyTale

Drip drip drip, down her snow-white dress
Blood soaking through and staining it a dull dark red
Between the lines and knives and ever-growing lies
Her sanity slowly slips as she fights to survive

Tick tick tick, of sands of time
Grinding and eating away at her heart and mind
Beneath the prickling pains, is a boiling disdain, that
One day warp and flows beyond restraint

Something within begins to stir and awaken
Shadows writhing as they break the seal
Calling out to her from the story book pages
Clawing out of her mangled flesh and bone cages

Heart now broken and the mind overtaken
The story pushes t’wards the grand reveal
In the end she couldn’t help but to
Succumb and now become the very
Nightmare from FairyTale

Once the most innocent of them all
